Red Cap

A small human-like creature, similar to a dwarf or goblin. Red caps are said to resemble old men with long white beards and fiery red eyes. Their hands resemble talons and they have large teeth used to kill humans. Once slain, they use the blood of their victims to stain the caps worn upon their heads. He is so called ‘Red Cap’ because he stains his hat with the blood of his victims. On their feet are boots made of iron, but they are still agile. Once a Red Cap sets after you, it’s impossible to out run it.

Its rumored a Red Cap will only die if its hat dries and turns brown. Therefore Red Caps must kill frequently, and target weary travelers who stray near their homes.
